Mr. Herman Mongrain Lookout is one of the last full blood Osage Indians. He is also the first recipient of an honorary PhD from Kansas State University for his work with the Osage language. This project is to pay tribute to that work. The mural will detail Mr. Lookout's identity and his achievements. I used Osage patterns and icons to draw inspiration on how to design the look of this mural. The project is still in process but some of the planning can be seen here.
